How To Do Disk Cleanup in Windows 7

Earlier I've posted how to do the disk cleanup for for an older OS. Now here's the "how to" for Windows 7.

1.  Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. If you have several drives or partitions, you may be prompted to specify which drive you want to clean.

2.  After Disk Cleanup has calculated how much space you can free, in the Disk Cleanup for dialog box, scroll through the list of  Files to delete.

3. Clear the check boxes for files that you don't want to delete, and then hit OK. If you want more options, such as cleaning up System Restore and Shadow copy files, under Description, click Clean up system files, then click the More Options tab

4. When prompted to confirm if you want to delete the specified files, hit Yes.

Again after a few minutes, the process will complete it's cycle and the Disk Cleanup dialog box will close. Just  like that, your computer should be cleaner and better performing.
